Who knows what could be going through Petrinos mind? He's certianly stinking it up with the Falcons, maybe he's starting to understand how good he had it here? Boy that would really be something if it all went down like that. Then we could just completely forget everything that happened this year and continue on. One can dream...

Its kinda like we got cheated on by a fine ass girl, then we dated a fat girl for a little while then we decided we would just forget about that big one she was gettin' slung on the regular just to have her back. lol.

Bobby aint coming back. He's way too headstrong and has too much ego to quit after one year. Plus when they lost Vick he pretty much got a free pass on this season.

What about Mike Shula?
I wouldnt mind seeing Shula or Bowden here if they're interested.

How about Scott Linehan?

I doubt Linehan would leave the NFL after just a one year go as a head coach but I think we should make contact anyway, let him know we are interested.

Can I throw this out?

John L. Smith

He is here in Louisville. He has experience with the program, AD, and the fans. He has been around the program long enough to know the Brohms pretty well. Brohm would be the assistant head coach and be groomed for the head coaching spot. Have the understanding that in three years, Brohm takes over and John L moves on to an administrative position in football operations.

Nobody cares for the way John L left, but most of the fans (including myself) really liked the guy. Unless a stellar coach was available (ala, Chow, Garrett, Bowden, etc) to take the job, why not?

Just out there for discussion. Freddy

Jason Garrett is who I would like to see. This guy is young so I feel like he would relate great with players. He won three superbowls with the Cowboys in the 90's so he brings a ton of credibility. He has been one hell of an OC with the Cowboys this year.

i agree, if Krag goes, whoever comes in should probably bring in all new people. as far as coaches go, i would love to see Jurich work his magic and bring Bill Cowher out of retirement. i'm not sure of his college experience, but man he was a beast of a coach. his teams were always prepared and highly motivated. things we seemed to lack at times this year. just imagine the defense he would eventually get on the field. just my 2 cents

Let's face it, while UL is a very attractive job, it will be hard to find a young coach that is good and keep him.

Maybe that's the way to go but it will keep us on the coaching merry-go-round.

TJ has certainly blown one, this one is huge.

I hope someone in the know is tracking up-and-coming ADs, we may need one soon.

cowher's teams always played smashmouth, hardnosed football. he would bring a toughness to the cards. people have feared our offense(not this year) but not the D. i'd like a hard hitting, suffocating defense that he could deliver. i know i'm dreaming because i don't think he's ready to get back into the game
