Grothe is no slouch, he's elusive & mobile, I saw him a couple weeks ago, was it WVU?

He made their D-line look bad too.

I agree, we should try to steal him away from USF.

I will agree with you that his schemes have not paned out yet in tennessee, (Note I said not yet) but you have to look and what he did in college and you cant help but be impressed

Quote:
Before joining the Titans, Chow spent 32 years coaching at the collegiate level, tasting every form of success at that level, including three national titles (BYU, 1984; USC 2003, 2004), tutoring three Heisman Trophy winners, 27 bowl games, and three times being named assistant coach of the year. He left an indelible mark on the college game as he worked with eight of the NCAA's top 30 career passing efficiency leaders.
In his college coaching career, Chow has groomed three Heisman Trophy winners (Ty Detmer, Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart), six first round picks (Palmer, Leinart, Philip Rivers, Steve Young, Jim McMahon, Marc Wilson) and one Pro Football Hall of Fame member (Young). Additionally, Chow has been associated with some of the best offensive minds in the college and pro ranks. Many of the NFL's most noted NFL minds have coached alongside Chow, including Mike Holmgren, Andy Reid, Brian Billick, Ted Tollner, Mike Sheppard and Doug Scovil

If we want the football program to get to that elite level, we need coaches like this guy who have had not just some success in the college game, but monumental success.

funny you mention that. I was looking at his resume a while back and I couldnt help but notice that before he got to BYU, he was actually unemployed for 2 years before he came on to BYU with LaVell Edwards. This guys whole coaching resume was shady from the jump

So here is what your saying: You feel sorry for Brian and Henry, but don't give a damn about guys like Patrick Carter, Scott Kuhn, Gary Barnidge, the seniors on the O-line or even Art Carmody? Real smooth.
