Have you ever had a concussion? If so, you would definitely reconsider your last post. I'm not saying Preston 100% didn't do this. I don't have a tape, either. I just know that the times I have had my rocks rattled I couldn't recall much that happened more than a minute ago.

No, I never had a concussion, but then again I didn't see in the article about when or where it happened in the game.

I am just saying that Pat White has nothing to gain by making this stuff up.

But I agree with Slaton. It was childish..

White, who completed 16 of 25 passes for 181 yards and two touchdowns and averaged 6.1 yards on 24 carries and finished with 147 yards rushing, said the incident occurred in the third quarter.

Running back Steve Slaton was ruled to have lost a fumble, and as the players battled in the pile, White and Smith came face-to-face. White suddenly rocked back and then tapped the back judge on the shoulder and pointed at Smith.

No penalty was called.

"That's not saying anything about their team," White said. "Most of them are very classy. I enjoy being out on the field with them and having fun, but that one incident didn't sit too well for me at all. Never in my life has anyone spit in my face."

White was animated on the field as the review was going on and used the entire delay to calm down. The call was overturned and WVU retained possession, but White lost a fumble three plays later.

He was hit hard when he lost the fumble and had to convince coaches he could remain in the game, but Slaton said he continued to fume.

"He was angry," said Slaton, who finished with only 60 yards on 17 carries. "That's not something a man should do. That's disrespectful and that's childish."

OK, well they changed the article from earlier this morning. The one I read referenced the play where White fumbled and got laid out by a couple of our guys. I hear there is a video now on YouTube that shows the play... nothing conclusive, though.

It's still a nasty act of sportsmanship. That dumb ass should be sat down for the next game. We don't need that kind of crap representing Louisville in any way or form. If it really happened, I'm glad the team lost. The whole team suffers when crap like this happens and it reflects negatively on me as a fan. White is a class act and did nothing to deserve that crap.

If the whole teams suffers because of a juvenile act like this, then maybe the whole team will jack up this dumb ass and let him know that this type of BS is not allowed. Coach K better address this crap. I'm going to call in and ask about it on his show if somebody doesn't beat me to it.

That's classless.

As for settling for our lousy season, I don't think that anyone is settling, I think that we are being realistic about a situation that is totally beyond our control. It's one thing to settle as fans, but if we were members of the team and were talking about settling, THAT WOULD BE A PROBLEM. We don't suit up, they do. We can't do anything at a game to influence the outcome, they can. All we can do is accept the situation for what it is. We don't have to like it, we don't have to lower our expectations of what we want, but there ain't shit we can do about it.

Unless somebody posting here is God's gift to a running back and wants to walk on the team.

My avatar sums up the way I feel about UL football. Kragthorpe and his minions have ruined this team. The frigging offense is dysfunctional now! Krag and whomever he rode in on his horse with need to go. The Preston Smith thing is icing on the cake. You think if BP was still here they would be doing stupid shit like that??? A good coach would have been able to back up an Orange bowl victory with the amount of talent we have...see BC. Great coach, not that great talent but look at how they have done so far (minus the FL st game...) That is COACHING my friends.

I'm not content with playing close to WVU. Take away their stupid mistakes and we lose by 30+. Don't make the defensive play out to be more than it is. The ENTIRE team has tremendous talent, they just are coached poorly. I think that being 5-5 at this point blows.

BTW- Ive been a UL fan thick and thin ever since I moved here back in '92. I don't really think that I need to justify anything to anyone, but it seems like certain people here like to point fingers. Dissatisfaction doesn't necessarily mean fair weather fan....

I didn't see the incident.

But, I can tell you one thing, if you spit on me you might as well have hit me. Because we are fighting. That's the bottom line. I agree with White that its the most disrespectful thing you can do to a person.
