Default Looking ahead to 2007

Everyone is in mourning about the Rutgers loss but I believe we will have a shot next year again.

Louisville did open some eyes this year.
Our name was in the mix for the national title game.
Bush & Brohm's names were on the list for the Heisman race.

If we can get a good preseason ranking and get another undefeated streak going and the teams ahead of us take some losses ...............I don't see any reason we won't be right back in the hunt next year.

I also think 2006 helped Louisville seperate ourselves in some recruits eyes.

They see us on national TV and in the media and on sports talk radio and they know the chance for exposure is there for them in our program.

We bring it home to the Ville

Next year we have WVU on the road so it's never going to get any easier than it did this year. Louisville just can't seem to put it all together year after year.

Depends if Brohm and Bush come back. If they both come back then I say we atleast play in the NC.

I don't think so.

You guys don't understand what a perfect storm this year was.
The "powerhouse" programs like OSU, Texas, Auburn, Oklahoma, don't even get in the top5 regularly. Let alone contend for BCS #1 or 2.

First and foremost, next year's schedule will be much worse than this years. The computers will not push us over the top. We may get lucky with other teams around us losing enough, and at the right times, but we probably won't. And that's such a ridiculous way to try and win.
The BigEast will not have three 7-0 teams next year. Can we count on Kentucky and MTSU and Kstate going to bowls next year...lol

We would have barely scraped into the title game this year if we would have gone undefeated (maybe). Conditions were perfect. My guess is that even if we go undefeated next year, we are gonna find out what real disappointment is when we get left out.

If we truly want to be regarded in the NC talk then we have to win games like that.

We won't go to the BCS next year either, we can't win on the road.

I agree. I'm saying I don't know if we can.
