I'd say they are battling with Cincinnati for 5th place in the conference. Syracuse and UConn are pretty assured to be 7th and 8th... the Bearcats and Panthers may be vying once again for the final bowl bid and the honor of going to Canada for New Years.

That sucks bad for them. Wannstache has to be hurting right now. His job could be on the line this year. With the great talent he's put together, Pitt should be top three in the conference this year, and if they're not, he may get the ax.
