11 seems about right to me. We lost key players on the O-line, including a projected starter this year in Marcel Benson, and in the D-secondary. We also get a few questions marks having a new coach. Coach K shows promise after turning around Tulsa, but he's now in the national spotlight. If Saban were the new coach rather than Kragthorpe, we would've been in the top 8 for sure.
The key is to keep winning and for BE teams to keep winning. Our schedule outside of the BE is a bit light. Therefore beating an undefeated Mountaineer team in Morgantown will be crucial to pushing us to the top. Even if the Cards went undefeated last year, there would have been lots of naysayers slamming us because of our schedule.

preseason poll
well, whatever else happens this year we won't have to hear the talk about whether Bobby Petrino is leaving or not. ROTFLMAO.
Reality check, about 18 days to go and we can start to learn about this year's team and how good others are too once the preseason fluff talk is over with. Swamp Daddy

ESPN is doing another one of those goofy SportsCenter fillers, this time playing out the entire 2007 college football season on paper. They did the preseason rankings last night and put us #10. Lou Holtz immediately called his integrity into question by putting Notre Dame in the "Could Be Top 10" category.
