we were actually the underdog in both GMAC Bowls
the game with marshall was with a team that just seemed like it didnt care and everyone was on Leftwitch's jock cause he played with a broken leg in that game as well as a few others same with Miami of Ohio and Big Ben. the only difference is that we actually put up a fight in that game. Thing is that the defense was non existant in that one. But hey the offense was there though. But for the most part the media was on Bens sack that whole week

Mich St still has a more prestigious name, hopefully by the end of the decade UL will be thought of as a football power. We have to prove that we can be a Top 10 team for more than 1 year in a row. Look at UL like people looked at Miami or VTech when they started their runs. "Nice story, come back when you have won something."
If you're talking about which is a better job for an incoming coach, that is a close one. A young coach would have a much easier job improving M St football than they would have at UL. |

FYI, Petrino was at the helm when Big Ben shredded our secondary. That was his first year as coach.

The have won the Big 10 championship 87', 65', 66' co-champs 53' & 78'. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ball_champions So in 46-years since they joined the Big 10 MSU has won 5 conference championships. That doesn't really impress me. Heck Northwestern has 7 big 10 championships. (03', 26', 30', 31', 36', 95', 96') ....although some of them are ancient. MSU isn't really impressive when you look at how many Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State have won in that conference.

I haven't listened to this yet, but a friend said it was a Mich St. fan blowing up after the loss to ND and it is supposed to be funny.
