It's an interesting point I hadn't stopped to consider. The more we toss the glory years under the bus, the more we look like UNLV basketball for our very brief rise to the top and subsequent fall. Folks remember that UNLV hoops was good in the early 90's, but they all but write it off as the result of cheating and players who were questionable at best.
Indeed, WELL DONE Mr. Jurich. ![]()

Write this down.....
It will be a decade or longer before we seriously challenge for the Big East title in football again. Our program is in the tank. Visitors commiting to the other team after a game. Our top recruits opening up their options. The play on the field is one thing, but the talent level has fallen off the map, due to discipline and transfers (graduation as well). I would love to hear what Anthony Allen or one of these guys REALLY makes of what is happening. I just feel like we are not going to get the truth.....ever. Freddy

Wow, all this "woe, dispair, and agony on me" talk is really on the extreme side. I don't see our program being in the tank for decades or even 8 years. From the inside source that I heard from, it's just a case of chemistry. I can relate to this big time. In any organization where morale can affect to the output of the team, chemistry is a weapon of power or destruction. A lot of guys left over from the Pitrino era have not warmed up to Krag. What you see on the field is a product of that. At the same time, the defense has obviously swallowed the pill and are sold on the new defensive coordinator.
I will say that given a few years, Krag will have control of this team and all of his building blocks will be in place. Think about it: why were guys trying to jump ship and get out of town so fast after Pitrino left? I can tell you why, because they didn't care for K or the staff he brought in. Hell, there was turmoil within the staff from Pitrino's leftovers and the new guys. Guys who were good enough to be Orange Bowl champions don't get bad or forget how to play the game in a years time. What you saw on the field were a bunch of guys who didn't give a damn, minus Harry and Brohm and a few others. I'll suffer through this and wait for the results. I'm willing to give K five years and we're in year two. I'll wait and see what happens.

You must've missed the UK game. This game was against PRP and doesn't really count. I saw an offense that couldn't execute to save its life. The defense is a bright spot though. Any D like that last season and it would've made a big difference. Still, they've not played any team yet with a great offense.
Krap, krapped away any credibility in his first 4 last season. He had one game this year to prove he was worth keeping when people already knew better. You saw how that went.

If Ron English were the D cooridnator last year, we would have won 2 or 3 more games. That man has the kids motivated, in the right position, and hungry to attack the ball carrier.
It may be that chemistry has something to do with it Junkman. Thing is, the talent level isn't there. The speed on offense isn't there. The team being prepared is not there. These things are not going to be easily or quickly fixed. Especially when we have our better commitments reopening their recruiting. Freddy
