Louisville can still attract talent contrary to the 10-year theory and thoughts of us bottoming out.

Louisville is definitely rebuilding right now, cleaning up the program was a HUGE setback for this season but I don't think it means were out of contention until 2018.

If we were considered a mid-major under John L. but were able to pull off big wins then why not do it again now.

This should help our non-conference scheduling, let's start playing those thursday night games again, play all takers.

Louisville is still DI, which will attract recruits, we have great facilities which is a recruiting advantage and very good TV coverage, locally and nationally which recruits like,

What U of L needs is a dynamic recruiter, I don't know if that person is on staff right now ???

What I didn't like reading from that sooner board is how all those posters seem to love Kragthorpe and what a nce guy he is and they think after this season he will still turn it around.

What that says to me is Krag is here to stay, even a down year this year whon't doom him. Of course I won't say I was a huge Krag supporter before, my theory was judging Krag on one year wasn't a fair evaluation.

I was so upset over the UK loss I said I'm on the bandwagon,Krag has to go. Now it's not outside the realm that Kragthorpe and his new staff could get our program right again but there are so many coaches available from year to year, a big time coach would take this program there faster than Krag tearing it down and building it back up.

I still have my torch and pitchfork and I'm waiting with the mob.

Just like the talent level of every position is open to upgrade so is the head coaching position. If a better Head Coach is available I say we need to go after him. (Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels)

What position and duty is Krag responsible for?

If it's offense he should be an assistant, we need to keep Ron English and bring in an innovative offensive coach to start lighting it up and recruit.

That's the part I was referring to. No it won't take a decade to have nice teams and go to decent bowls, and looking at the BE right now, a BCS bowl is not out of the question. But what may take 6-10 years is for UL to be back in the NC talk like it was for 2 years in a row. It will take that long for the fans to have expectations of an udefeated season. John L football was good then, but is no longer acceptable to the fanbase.

Speaking of interest, in the past we've had RB's, qb, wr's, etc..stars to watch. I'm not seeing too much of that right now. UL really needs that stud recruit, RB (i'd prefer) to get my interest going. I about cried (joking..but close) when Bush went down in that first game a couple seasons ago.

But i'll also admit i only saw a quarter of the UK game and none of the tech game. My interest just isn't there like it was.

Right Farmdude......I said 8 to 10 years before we compete for the Big East title again. We'll be in and out of the race at some point, but that is far from really challenging to win it. We've slid back pretty far and now we have to build momentum again. We got to a pinnacle. One that all of us and the athletic department had been shooting for since the days of Howard. We got to and won a BCS game. We are pretty much at the point that we have to start crawling back towards that again. Freddy

Victor Anderson, Beaumont, and maybe Chichester can be playmakers for us. All have decent enough speed and athletic ability. Anderson probably needs a little more weight, but he really tears towards the holes. We need more of him, while mixing in Bolen, instead of the other way around. Bolen is a great change of pace and a guy who can pound the ball a little. But he's not a threat for a home run at anytime.

I'm anxious to see the QB of the future. Is it Wolfe? In his first real action of his career, he looked poised, patient, and relaxed. Made a couple of good throws. But a lot of people think Simms is the deal. Stoudt may be a guy to look forward to also.

There are a few good things going on, but they are not at the level of Urrutia, Bush, Brohm, K.Smith, etcetera. Freddy

Junky if you look at the BE right now, it is not impossible to win.

That by itself made it a bad hire. The AD's job is to keep the momentum going and he would have done it with a fiery guy in the Petrino mold but he instead went with his complete opposite. We should have known there would be a huge personality clash between players and coaches, and Jurich should have also.

But I'm still willing to be patient. What's done is done, and I don't think another transition will help things any sooner. I just can't cast aside the recommendations of so many college football people who think Kragthorpe is a great coach. I'd still like to see what he can do with a team full of his guys.

I saw this recently, sounds like a big time recruit a lot of the big name schools are in the running for.

Auburn, 'Bama chasing recruit

Posted: Thursday September 04, 2008 06:43AM ET

Demond Dennis of Carver, Atlanta was thrilled to learn earlier this year that he had received scholarship offers from SEC powerhouses Alabama and Auburn. But the euphoria subsided just a bit once he read the fine print. "I was excited when I first got [the offers], but now they both want me to switch over to defensive back," the 5-foot-10, 193-pound senior said. "I want to play running back." Dennis also holds offers from East Carolina, Illinois, Louisville, Western Kentucky and UAB. He is being recruited by each of those programs as a running back.
I think of the schools who want Dennis as a RB, Louisville is the bigger name although ECU is the most impressive school on that list @ the moment.

See Louisville isn't out of the loop yet on the top talent, we just need a recruiter who can seal the deal.

I am just happy that Sooner fans recognize that UK fans are the worst.
