Default Met A Former Card Today

For those of you who can remember the Bob Weber era, I met a bit of a legend from the early 80's. Me & Brian (I think his name was FUNK on here, but it's been so long I can't remember) went to play a quick round at Cherokee after work and got paired up with LB Anthony Williams. Williams played with Mark Clayton, Frank Minnifield, and a bunch of other legends I can't even remember who he said now. He is actually still in the Louisville record books, recording 159 tackles in 1982 to rank 7th on the single season list.

Really nice, laid-back guy. Not much of a golfer, but it made for a cool after-work nine.

BTW, I asked him what he thought of Krag. He said it's good that he's got some good assistants around him this year. He thinks Krag needs to realize that the players need to be motivated and that the guys who preceded him were very fiery, in-your-face personalities on the field. He's cautiously optimistic for the season.

I went to some games when Weber was the coach, I remember a few names from back then but not that one. I'm sure he was a heck of a player though, 159 tackles is no joke, that's hard nose finding the ball, hustle, that many collisions, he must have been tough as nails.
