That second highlighted comment is just the epitome of stupid. So because you can get 70,000 people to watch your game, you deem it a success? Gee, that's interesting. Louisville football looks for numbers more like this:
10,650,000 - Approximate viewers for 2007 Orange Bowl v. Wake 4,600,000 - Approximate viewers for 2006 Gator Bowl v. Va Tech 6,500,000 - Approximate viewers for 2004 Liberty Bowl v. Boise State That in conjunction with 4.9 million folks watching last year's WVU-Louisville game and 4.6 million watching Rutgers-Louisville the very next week. Those are the two highest-rated Thursday night football games ever on ESPN and the 2nd and 3rd most watched ESPN games EVER! But yeah, having 70,000 people (and maybe a few recruits if you are lucky enough to get them in that weekend) is cool too.

The UK administration flat-out does not care about its fans. Like you said bling, all they care about is selling out 70,000 strong($$$$$$), the rest of the UK fans out in the state or across the country be damned.

I truly believe that if UK doesn't go back to scheduling the game as the 1st of the season that it will be the end of the series. After UL gains the edge in wins, Jurich will not renew the contract citing the loss of revenue from no TV.
