Well I gave Coach Kragthorpe a pass last year and evidently with Jurich's comment about this being a rebuilding year he is giving him a pass too for this year.
With all the changes on the staff I am not giving Kragthorpe a pass in 2008. I want some wins and a bowl game. UK had a crappy year except for 2 wins, LSU & Louisville and they squeaked both of those out but went to a bowl and played half the Sems and won. I expect Louisville to be able to accomplish 7 or 8 wins and be bowl eligible we were really just one win away last year. There are too many good coaches floating around from year to year to stick with Kragthorpe if he can't win, If someone better is out there, we have the fundage to snatch them up.........or promote Coach English as interm coach and let him have a shot. I like when English got in Lloyd Carrs azz on the sidelines during a Michigan game last year, I think he has the attitude and experience to win games as a head coach

Well, you can definitely make the argument that Kragthorpe had to recruit so many juco guys to make up for Petrino's lack of recruiting depth.
So, either way, it's debatable. Stop bashing the coach before the season begins. He's made all the necessary changes. He's recruiting good players, JUCO or not, and he's hired a great staff around him. Give him a chance to compose a full high school class this year, and give him a chance to win some games this year. If he still can't do it, then bash him, but the carryover from last season's disappointment is pathetic and sad. It's a new season and a fresh start.
