I found a little article about Petrino's departure from the Atlanta paper that says his leaving the Falcons was the "hardest thing" he's done in his life.
I just thought the poll was funny. They ask if you're buying that or selling it. I can't recall seeing a poll that lopsided. As of right now, it's 71-1204. http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sp...rino_0528.html

none of us has any idea what went on in the petrino houshold when he moved his family again. i'll buy it. and, i'd still gladly welcome him back to louisville.
most successful coaches are selfish pricks. we all seemed willing to put that aside as an almost humorous frustration while the cards were winning. |

If for no other reason, there's no way I'd want him back because he'd just leave the program high and dry again. Like he did UofL and Atlanta. He's two for two on the whole "fucking over the people who trusted you" scale.

Because I'm tired of seeing people lust over Petrino like he was the greatest thing to ever happen to college football. When he was here, people were happy to win, and when he flirted with other teams or programs, people were happy to bitch about him.
Now, after a disappointing season, everyone is happy to suck on his balls. Maybe when Kragthorpe churns out a solid season this year people will finally be happy with what we've got, rather than what we had. It gets really old.
