Stripling dismissed from U of L football team

Senior running back George Stripling of the University of Louisville football team has been dismissed from the team for a violation team rules, U of L head coach Steve Kragthorpe announced today.

Stripling played in 34 career games for the Cardinals, recording 1,338 yards and 13 touchdowns.

His best season came in 2005 when he rushed for 621 yards and seven touchdowns.

My verdict on Kragthorpe is still out, but I do like the discipline he is trying to instill.

Is he a troublemaker or is it because he's from Florida?

I hope not............ he's probably the most tenured LB on the team, LB crew is a thin area.

God I would love to know the expectations Krag has for these players. Why does it always seem like the guys who get kicked off are guys we need? Aren't there a redshirt freshmen walk-on special teams players violating any rules?

Maybe the guys that he has recruited have some respect for him, their teammates and themselves. Petrino had none, and a lot of his players seemed to fit his mold.

I never cared much for Stripling anyway. Powell is the future.

I give Krag 1 more year, if he can't turn it around then it's time to go.

Jurich will give him at least 4 total. By then we will show definite improvement, enough for him to keep his job. Hope I'm wrong and he turns out to be a helluva coach.
