Why is it that I spend more time just looking at Junkmans avatar than actually reading or responding to posts? Freddy

How much more talent can you possibly need when you return 95% of the Orange Bowl champions?

We lost this "so called" 5% of our roster to the NFL.

DB Gay, DE Dumervil, OT Amobi, LB Harris, RB Kolby Smith

Obviously the 95% that came back COULDN'T play at that "Orange Bowl" level with out that 5% talent loss.

I would disagree with you anyway that 95% of the roster returned.

We had Brohm who did his best to carry the team but we had no defense.
We had Allen who was hurt most of the year and not a factor.
Bolen who is a hard runner but better as a compliment in a tandem backfield but not really a feature back.
Urrutia who had a shitty year.
Douglass who like Brohm did his best to carry the offensive load but couldn't win a shootout with just Brohm and Douglass with our defense.

At LB we had nothing, CB we were thin PLUS we lost coach Whitte who helped that position group tremendously. No real standouts on the D-line.

I do not agree that Petrino handed the keys to a shiny sports car to Coach Krag and he crashed.

He had several players w/ character (Williams, Spillman , Stripling) issues and had to deal with suspensions and injuries that depleated the talent pool.

We weren't good last year, I dont blame soley Kragthorpe.

Maybe theres a reason Petrinio left when he did.

I found out who my Dolphin girl was, a porn chick !!!

I saw all her goodies but never found that specific picture which was worksafe...... I think.

I mean it was a close up from a below angle of her booty in some daisy duke type shorts, man I miss that pic

Nothing worked last year. Instead of pieces coming together, everything just crashed. But there is a reason this guy was highly sought after by big programs, and big-time coaches(and ADs) like Ron English, Urban Meyer, Tom Jurich etc. think he's a helluva coach. You may turn out to be right, but to pass a flat judgment after one year is a little goofy.
Recruiting hasn't appeared to suffer at all and like it or not, Krag is going to be the coach here at least until the stadium expansion gets done, but by that time, we really will know if he can get the job done here.
Amen Harvey. I don't think any of us realize what Kragthorpe was dealing with when he showed up. He wants this to be HIS program - not Bobby Petrino's. And the transition hurts - but you could not have said it better - he has the obvious respect of so many people in the college football world - its hard not to give him a chance to what kind of product he can put together.

My main complaint about Krag was how he let the offense fall apart. It should have been evident from the first game, but surely by the third that our OC was in way over his head. He should have taken control instead of sacrificing Brian and the season. That is history, but UL fans won't forget it, consequently he will be questioned at every turn this season and for seasons to come.

fans have insanely short memories. we forget how in love we were with these kids that we now applaud kragthorpe for getting rid of. if it turns out he actually knows what he's doing and wins 10 games this year or next, we'll forget all about last year, too.
