I don't know... I'm not real thrilled for the prospects of either Bush or Brohm. Al Davis really screwed Mike. Between Fargas, Rhodes, Jordan, and McFadden, PT is going to be HARD to come by. I think Bush needs to pray he gets traded now.

And Brohm... that sure sounds like a career backup role. Rodgers looked darn good against Dallas last year. He's had two years to learn from Favre. I find it hard to believe he is going to totally flop. Brian is going to have to be even more special than I expect him to be in the NFL to earn a starting job with the Pack.

The CNN/SI scout likes the pick for GB...

The Packers land the top-rated quarterback prospect heading into the season in the second round. Brian Brohm, who has been the victim of incessant nitpicking by scouts, will push Aaron Rodgers for the starting job if the veteran struggles under center this season. To pick up such a talented quarterback prospect without using a first-round pick is a major coup for the Packers.

I look at it like this: if he's not good enough to eventually beat out Aaron Rodgers, then he's not going to have the career that anyone thought he would, no matter what team he's on.

I think that is pretty likely to happen! I'd say the middle of next season though.

Old Andre Woodson hasn't been pick up yet, not to mention Steve Slaton!

well no Favre but I was right still

I can't wait, I got the local paper here today and Brohm was on the front page with the caption "will the Packers draft a QB?"

I took that as a good sign

GO PACK GO!

Joe Fucking Flacco goes higher than BB...what the ??

I still am trying to figure out how Brohm was one pick short of being the #4 QB in the draft...wow...I mean Henne goes one pick later...

How the hell do you put up BETTER numbers than the junior year and slip from potential #1 to #56??

I hope he makes fools out of everyone...Im sorry but he got the shaft

Look no further than the coaching change at UL. I'm not saying Krag can't turn things around and all. But Brohm was definitely a casualty of it.

But still, even if they won the BCS bowl again, you gotta wonder if they wouldn't have nitpicked Brohm some more. Drafts sort of defy common sense at times.

Look at the bright side. He'll be on a team that isn't fvcked up like Oakland or some other one. He's got the knowledge and skills. And the pressure of a first round, produce immediately burden is off his shoulders. The future isn't written yet. He could be another Farve...who knows?

Flacco has a big arm. For some reason, Baltimore loves big arms. Look how well Boller is doing.....oops, never mind.

GB is a good place for Brohm. There is no entrenched starter to replace. And as said earlier, it's not like he can't play up to par with A. Rodgers. Freddy

I wanted to see Brohm go to a good team but I think it may have been better if he had went to a team that needed a QB a little more.

Rodgers has learned under Farve for two seasons and I believe that gives him a big advantage over Brohm right now.

Brohm is a solid QB but he's not flashy or real mobile, or have the "big gun" arm like Flacco impressed scouts with.

Maybe the scouts were right, I just dont see Brohm stepping in and beating Rodgers out right away.

That's just media myth. Brohm was throwing the ball just as hard as Flacco in the combine. They clocked his release 1mph slower than Flacco's. A reporter even talked about that in questioning where the Brohm hate had come from.
