Default Wow, Shaun Alexander cut

Just two years removed from being MVP and signing an 8-year deal.

The Kentuckian out of, I believe, Boone county sounds like a great guy. It's too bad he got run out of town.

I hope my Cowboys bring him in to replace Jones that went to Seattle. They can have Jones because he is terrible.

I hear that Dallas is going after Felix Jones from Arkansas in the draft. Seems like SA would cost too much to be just a part-time back. Why pay him the big dollars if they don't want to pay Marion Barber the big money?

Yeah I am hearing Jones as well. I think that is an odd choice because he seems to be the same mold as Marion.

I think they will in fact pay Marion but because he was a restricted free agent they gave him the maximum tender. They have to play the cap game just like everyone else.

I am hearing that the owners are going to opt out and there will be two years with no cap and if that does happen look out because Jerry isn't afraid to pay the money.

It doesnt suprise me a bit, wouldnt suprise me if no one signs him at his asking price.

Maybe if he wants to play for near the vet minimum, someone will pick him up.

Shaun Alexander had a great year his MVP season but he's older, he's not proven to be very durable the last couple years and I really dont see him reproducing those kind of numbers again in his career.

There's a very simple reason Alexander hasn't put up the same kind of numbers in Seattle since his MVP season: Steve Hutchinson.

The man who paved the way for Shaun Alexander is now paving the way for Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor in Minnesota.

Well I was gonna say it was the O-line or the system as much as Alexander but since I really dont watch Seattle much or keep up with them I didnt but I figured it wasnt all Alexander.

He's a good player, good not great in my opinion and his better days are behind him.

Obviously Seattle thinks so too.

Well, I know nothing about what you all are talking about, but I do know that some of those Hornet Honeybees were pretty tight!
