Wisconsin was a big rumor, but I don't think it was ever confirmed. Duke, Georgia Tech, and an SEC team have backed out in recent years. I think there's another one I am forgetting.

OK maybe Wisconsin is who I was thinking of. I thought I read that Jurich stopped persuing it because the Badgers didnt want to come to Louisville, they just wanted Louisville at their home.

Good call. Vandy backed out, maybe even this year to force us to schedule Murray State. It was either them or Duke.

I thought Georgia backed out and then ended up having to get scheduled anyways, for some reason....right?

well, the recent one was Georgia Tech who backed out of a home and home with us to schedule Notre Dame instead.
And, what about ND who is "supposed" to schedule up to 3 Big East teams in football soon? Any news on that? Personally I'd tell Notre Dame to join the Big East in football or kick them out of all other sports. What a one way street they have. Swamp Daddy |
