Hilarious! Kid commits to a team that didn't recruit him.

This kid from Nevada faked his own recruitment and held a press conference at his school where he said his numerous conversations with Cal coach Jeff Tedford persuaded him to choose Cal over Oregon.
But neither team had heard of him.

wow. as someone who works with kids every day, i don't find that funny. i find it downright sad. what kind of self esteem issues does a person have to have to make something like that up, knowing the truth is going to come out in the end?

he probably thought he could get some hype around his name then other schools might legitimately join the party.

He should have started with somebody like SMU or Western KY, some smaller DI college....maybe Memphis.

Nope he picked big dogs who were ranked last year and on national TV.

Dumb kid should have just tried a DII school or JUCO and gotten better then tried to transfer to DI if that was his dream.

I don't know the kid but he sounds like maybe he could be mentally ill.

This is right up there with pretending you go to medical school to your wife's dismay or, hell, having imaginary friends, honestly.
