Considered one of the (if not THE) top prospects in Kentucky. Signed with UK today.

I am all about kids staying home so I love the fact that he stayed in the Bluegrass, but as a wide receiver, did he ever ask "Who will be throwing me the ball?"

I am not 110% up to date on the UK QB position, but I just have to think the passing game will have to drop off for a while due to Woodson's departure.

pretty stupid if you ask me. but who knows-we may not have even tried to get him. I was just talking to my buddy earlier who is a uk fan and we both were wondering who uk has to replace woodson, and did he even play last year?

Curtis Pulley will be the replacement. Remember that before Woodson took the reigns his junior season, there was a STRONG call for Pulley to get the starting job and develop in 2006. He's more of a dual-threat QB if I remember correctly.

UK has had many go there on faith alone or something else. Did anyone really have a clue why Couch ever would go to UK with them running the wishbone under Curry? Well..i think most actually did have a clue..probably involved $$$$$...

There may be money(history suggests it ), but it's more about Boyd being bred and brought up blue to the bloody bone(just wanted to use B's).
He's from Lexington and went to Henry Clay for crimminy's sake, there was about a .03 percent chance he was going to the other end of his world to go to a good, not great team(Oregon).

Seriously, where would you expect a good football player from Lexington to end up, given UK's recent success, etc.?

IMO, Boyd will end up as a TE, he has good size, pretty physical, super hands, but slow afoot. Trinity made him look very ordinary at best. When he has to compete against the speed in D1 he will have a lot of problems.
