Im not sure what a Defensive Quality Control coach does (I guess he controls the quality of the defense) but does this end the rumors about Sam Madison coming back to coach?

It says on the link that he was named the Cornerbacks coach. Good, we definitely need help there..

I'm very happy with the new staff. On my wish list was an ex-head coach and a defensive position coach from the NFL. Now all we need is someone to coach the special teams and this becomes one helluva staff.

we have the same special teams coach from last year.. the guy who coached the defensive line.. he was a bad DL coach but is a great special teams guy

I will say our coverages were improved over the previous seasons. However, I would love to block punts and field goals. They are gameturners.

I would love to find a kicker who can get a ball into the end zone every once in a while. I'd also like to find a punter that can avoid one complete and total shank every game.

If there is one thing you can criticize Petrino for in his tenure without debate, it's that he put ZERO stock in special teams. I don't think Carmody or Flannery were on scholarship when they got here... if Flannery ever got one, he shouldn't have.

I actually thought Flannery improved his leg last year when Petrino brought a new coach in... don't know his name... then he took him with him.
