I dont think he will retire yet without testing the NFL market for another team to pick him up if the Giants release him so this is a little early for him to start making post retirement plans.
Madison was a starter just 3 weeks ago and still playing well so I doubt an abdominal injury has ended his career.

I saw him playing last night. Perhaps he's made a decision to retire after the season ends. Afterall he's been in the pros for 12 years or so. Neverthless, I wouldn't get too excited about him coming to Louisville. Does he have any coaching experience? Does Louisville even have an opening?

Well, blistering speed, a nose for the ball, and hard hitting were Sam Madison's trademarks; he was one of the few bright lights still around in the Ron Cooper era.
And, considering how far UL slipped this past year into irrelevancy in football could he be any worse than what we had? And, (dreaming here?), are there any Sam Madison, Jr.s around? I'd sure like to see the ability to create and get interceptions that were once a UL trademark return to our game. Swamp Daddy |
