I'm not sure I see it that way. With all the career-ending injuries, early departures, and graduation. this defense is going to be terribly thin next season. The best depth we have is at corner and safety... not exactly a good thing. There will be a lot of JUCO players getting time on the line and the LB spots.

If English, Delgado, and company can improve next year's D, I'll be supremely impressed. The team will actually have reason to struggle on that side in 2008.

This really sends a message that Louisville won't stand for that kind of football. It's great. I think it's another sign of being a "big-time" program. In years past we would've just tried to get better instead of actually doing something about it.

And when guys are leaving programs like California and Michigan to come here that says something.
