Was it me or did everyone think it looked like we were watching a game recorded back in the 1960's?

Like I have said. The Big 10 is the most overrated conference in football.

I can see the point of needing a playoff system or tourney type of post season. But WVU lost their "playoff" game against Pitt. Others did the same.

We have what we have right now and it seems to me the BE had another great chance to get one in but blew it.

Congrats to LSU..they probably were the best team this season in a season of more parity in football. Still it would be nice to have a conference winner playoff format.

BTW..must be nice that the Big 10 has its own network and channels. Their games are all over the place on DishNetwork. Wonder if the BE will do something similar?

Not that it excuses West Virginia's brain fart, but I don't particularly see the "playoff" Ohio State had to go through this year or last. The got beat by freaking Illinois, the team that was run off the Rose Bowl field by USC. The thing about this season is EVERYONE lost. I think it's BS that Ohio State gets excused from their loss because it happened earlier than others.

What about Kansas? Georgia? Hell, if it was a true season-long playoff, then Hawaii got hosed because they beat everyone in their bracket. If the season served as a season-long playoff, it should have been Ohio State and Hawaii... talk about a display of shitty football being called great.

Well, i agree. It is BS when you lose. Polls tend to forgive team that lose early.

I'm sure there will be a playoff system someday. Someone in power just needs the balls to get it going. The funny part is that a playoff system will generate much more money for those reluctant to change because of money.

Lose early?
How about LSU losing their last regular season game. At home. To an unranked team. That should probably count as "blowing it" to me. But it didn't, because hell or high water, LSU was the pick to be the best at the beginning of the year, and by god, they were going to be the pick to be the best at the end.

But not only that, they lost to another unranked nameless team. IMO, no national champion is legit with two losses to mediocre teams.

Nope, they beat TN after losing to AK. If they ended things on a loss, then that would be bad for em..

I'm sorry OSU & Hawaii would not have been competitive at all.

Hawaii's offensive and defensive line got manhandled by Georgia, OSU would have done the exact same thing and I wouldnt want to see a blowout rout as the title game.

Hawaii's QB Colt Brennan was on his back more times than a quarter ho on nickle day, he was absolutely no factor in that game, it might as well been John Madden under center.

It's not like basketball where a cinderella team can go deep into the tourney.

There is a reason why Appalacian State vs Michigan had NEVER happened before and even in DI all ranked teams are not created equal.
