CE Official Calendar (and Other Cool Features)

Don't know if you guys noticed this yet, but the new boards give us the functionality to have an interactive calendar. I have already been testing it out, adding the first three football games to the ledger. Please feel free to add your birthdays, Cardinal events, and other important dates we need to know!!

Another cool feature folks may want to check out... on each user's post, there is the option to click their name and view several attributes about them. Public profile, sending PM's, etc. The best (for one reason I am about to mention), though, is the ability to "Give Infraction" from their user info.

If you click on the user's public profile, there is a link on the top right toolbar that says "Give Infraction". There you can warn the user for spamming, insulting other members, gaudy sigs, and inappropriate language. There is also the option to note a custom infraction if you feel the violations don't fall into any other category.

I am linking farmdude's User Infraction page as an example ONLY. I promise it means nothing more, farmdude.

SWOLE will need to tell us more as I do not yet have my admin privileges on the new board (maybe that's a hint... hmmmm), but I could definitely see this as a way to let our members help moderate the board in the unlikely possibility that we get another 1teencard (HUGE signatures) or the porn spammers return.

bling49, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Folks, make sure to go in and update your user profiles to include your birthdays and other pertinent information. Once you submit your birthday in the user profile, the calendar automatically adds it to the CE events.

Another cool function spurred by nmcardsfan's new avatar.

For folks who like to browse the boards at work or with the kiddos around at home, avatars can be deselected not to show on your pages as necessary. To disable/enable avatars, go to the top of the boards and click on "User CP". Once there, click "Edit Options" on the left side of the page, then scroll down to the "Visible Post Elements" option about 2/3 the way down the page. You can select or deselect the check box to keep bouncing boobies off your computer screen and away from your boss's eyes.

Sorry, nm, but I had to let folks know that risque avatars will probably be given a little more leeway on the new boards. With increased personal functionality, I'd like to give folks the option of how they want to look at the site. I still don't want any pornographic photos/avatars, but a nearly full shot of Lindsay Lohan's upper body in motion can probably stick around for now. :-P

My favorite new feature. Work safe mode. no pics makes life much easier.
