CJ, I have to agree with you about Fox's convention coverage. Not bad. My problem is that Fox potrays themselves as "fair and unbalanced". Not even close, but there coverage has been very professional.

I agree....the only fair and balanced coverage is on CSPAN. Discussion, but no real analysis from talking heads that are getting paid to push an agenda or push conversations. MSNBC, CNN, and FOX manipulate the news almost as much as they cover it. Freddy

I am getting my coverage from NPR as I don't have cable, etc. They have been pretty enthusiastic in terms of the historical nature of it all and I am curious how the coverage will be next week. They have had commentators from both sides of the aisle giving brief comments, but they have done a lot more coverage from the floor. That is always going to be enthusiastic.
But, I have to agree about MSNBC. Olbermann and Matthews have been blowing Obama for months. |

corporations have their agendas, politicians have their agendas, the media has an agenda, voters have an agenda.
If a reporter gets dispatched to cover the election and impressed by McCain and not impressed by Obama are they not being fair and balanced? If a politician gives a bad speech or has inadaquate stances on issues or just doesn't have the better solutions how should that be reported?

If someone is reporting the news, they should tell it like it is and don't embelish or exclude anything based on thier feelings. The media should not have an agenda, when they are reporting and covering news. Now, news analysis is different. News analysis or an editorial is opinion. Express an agenda there and that's OK.
