Oh come on guys. Don't be hard on the announcers. Mark Gottfried was fucking hilarious all night. Those two guys were the only source of entertainment in this game.
I, too, hoped we get blown out. IMO, Leavitt could easily have let USF score 60+ points on us but he called the dogs off early in the second half. Leavitt's a good coach.
This loss is way different from the loss we suffered at the hands of USF in 2005. The 2005 game was about big plays and trickery from USF. This game was just smashmouth football. USF came out and punched us in the face and we never recovered. And we knew it was coming. We got dominated in every phase of the game because they are a better, more physical, better coached team. Pathetic.
I hope we lose to Rutgers, too.
And I hope Brohm gets to sit out half that game. I know he gave up declaring early to come back and play for UL, but he has nothing to prove. We all know how great Brian is, we all know what he's done for the city. Time to get some of the young guys some action, get Cantwell some reps, and let Brian get ready for the big league.
