The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly
The Good News: The loss to Syracuse really doesn't mean a whole lot other than our home win streak is over and we won't be ranked... it does not affect our chances to win the Big East much, as we still play the other 6 teams, if we win out then we will win the conference, since Syracuse will not be going 7-0 or 6-1
The Bad News: This team is not winning out, so really it doesn't matter if we still have a shot at winning the confererence... with Cincy's beatdown of Marshall, WVU's annihilation of ECU, USF's blowout of UNC... I highly doubt we finish in the top 3 in the conference... we won't be keeping the Keg of Nails this season, I'll tell you that... the only reason I think we can finish in the upper half of the conference is because we have Rutgers at home... but really that didn't help too much with Syracuse
The Ugly: Someone has to be held accountable for the defense... as I heard another Louisville fan say, it appears as tho the defense is literally lost on the field... almost like they aren't even sure where they are supposed to line up or who they are supposed to cover half the time... the teaching of face-guarding is a major problem, too often do I see a long pass play given up and the Louisville defensive player does not even attempt to locate the ball, instead they try to block the WR's field of sight to prevent a catch... this is how you give up long pass plays over, and over, and over, and over again
Before the UK game I made a post saying we'd see who the real Louisville team was against UK, whether they'd step up and play like a team that could win it all or goto a BCS Bowl, or a team that will end up playing in the Toronto Bowl.... we'll you better your passports ready
Date to Watch: November 17; First non-exhibition basketball game against Hartford
On another note: I'd been posting at the other board, the old one, because it didnt redirect me to this one... just finally found this one again when no one was posting at the old one
