Camera angles are a hell of a TV tool. If you actually TALK to most students who go to those places, the blue hairs still run the building. The primary difference between Freedom Hall and Cameron Indoor is that the students at Duke actually get the primo seats on one side of the floor. The side NOT seen on TV is full of the same 40-and-up crowd quietly seated with arms crossed.
I think that UofL could still improve their ticket distribution to students, but it's really not too bad. Other than elimintating guest tickets for undergrads last season (which in turn killed student attendance at bball games), they do a good job getting tickets into the hands of those paying tuition.
Now if they could just get those students out of the rafters and on the floor.
