I was only 6 years old in '83 and don't remember anything about the game. But from personal accounts and reading up on the significance, that game was as big as any non-title game could possibly be, anywhere.
As amazing as that WVU win was, my guess is that those who remember the Dream Game will tell you that it pales in comparison to it and the enormous pressures and implications of the game.
The atmosphere in the state and specifically around Louisville and UofL basketball in the '80s is what made me a Card fan and really, an overall sports fan.
