Nope we played UK 3rd week of the season.
If the Cards beat the #1 ranked team 3rd week of the season would all Cards fans be saying, well they were just the preseason #1.
No we would be tearing down some schools goalpost 3rd week of the season for beating the #1 team.
Now I will concede to you the fact that we tanked a lot more games after that so a preseason #5 ranking was too high for how Louisville played the rest of the year but that doesnt make a difference in the polls and to the fans, they all weigh in to the fact that Louisville was the #5 ranked team in the country 3rd week of the season..
