LSU was playing horrible football at the end of the year. They lost their last regular season game at home, then looked like a pop warner team hanging on to beat UT in the SEC title game.
You can't see Kansas or Missouri beating LSU, but we all saw UK beat LSU and we all know how good they were.
And it doesn't matter what Hawaii did in their bowl game, they were undefeated and who knows what kind of game they would have given Ohio State. Georgia was easily better than OSU, IMO.
