OK, this is going to be sacreligous, but Brohm has to go, unless it's a coach he has worked with. Part of the problem with this team is the hybrid staff that was put together. It was a no win situation. The only way for it not to go bad was to have smooth sailing. Of course, the team didn't have smooth sailing and sides were taken. If the coach is from outside the program, he has to bring in all of his guys and that's that. The new coach should revamp the team to the way he wants it to be. Open up all positions, seniority means nothing. We need the hunger and enthusiasm put back into the program.
I think many of us, but not all, realize that this season was more than just bad. It was a disaster. It has set us back 5 or 6 years. It seems now we are only interested in signing TE's and JUCO players. The momentum has been gutted. It's amazing because I didn't think that such a thing would be possible in one year (or less).
I'm interested in Jason Garrett (the OC for Dallas), but he doesn't have much of a track record. He does seem to be quite bright though, and has done a tremendous job with the Dallas offense. I'm also interested in Paul Petrino. I STILL believe he should have been given at least a serious interview.
Well, that's my .02......... Freddy
