By your own logic, we should have kicked Amobi Okoye off the team last year because he smoked weed?
I've never touched the stuff or any other controlled substance in my entire life, but to say that someone who chooses to get high deserves a suspension/dismissal is just silly. Should I have been stripped of my scholarship because I got shit-face drunk a few times in college? Before I turned 21, mind you?
How about certain members of the basketball team that I know to have frequented certain adult establishments before they were of age? Should they all have been kicked off the team a couple years ago?
Sorry, but I just don't buy weed as being this devil's drug that Kragthorpe and his ilk claim. If we had all these potheads playing last season, I don't see why they are a problem all of a sudden because we got embarrassed by Syracuse. Their recreational habit (which is no worse than drinking beer by most accounts) had nothing to do with the piss-poor game plan the coaches have put in all season.
